I'm so glad you're here!
I would like to get to know you better, but first here's a little about me...
I started Dot Your I after spending ten years as a stay-at-home mom. Being a busy mom of three has made me realize the importance of creating a healthy balance between taking care of my kids and taking care of myself. Being a parent is hard! Life is messy! And, for sure, none of it is easy!
Prior to starting a family, I was a kindergarten teacher in both North Carolina and Wisconsin. Working with these little ones brought me so much happiness as I celebrated their growth and successes! In 2008, I left teaching to become a full-time mom. Being a mom is my biggest joy, but it is also a role that can bring some of the biggest challenges. As a parent, there are no perfect days, but there are great moments! And once I realized doing my best was 'enough,' those great moments increased exponentially! And, even when I don't always feel like I am winning, I remember that other people have laundry on the floor, dishes in the sink, and a to-do list a mile long, too. That's real life! I can never have more minutes, but I can try to do my best with the minutes I have.
I have also discovered the importance of self-care in order to be the best version of myself – and the best mom to my three kids. There seems to be a truth behind the old saying "If mom is happy, everyone is happy!" Learning to prioritize things such as sleep, exercise, meal planning, time with friends, and even down time, has helped me be the mom that my kids need, and enjoy! I truly believe that the best way to look after my family and those I care about is to look after myself too!
Now, here I am, writing a bio on how I got to where I am today – “Jamie, Wellness Coach.” Receiving my Health and Wellness certifications from Health Coach Institute began a new journey of passion and excitement for me.

With my support, accountability, and proven system, I will help you learn habits that are easy to implement and maintain without feeling like you are giving up time with your loved ones. I will help you understand that prioritizing your self-care is the best gift you can give!
